Chapters Council Legislative Report

The ACRL Government Relations Committee is working to update the status of proposed legislation from the 2020 Legislative Agenda. The committee is also working on the 2021 ACRL Legislative Agenda. This fall, the committee chair solicited items for the 2021 Legislative agenda from ACRL leadership. Because we will have a new president and administration, as well as a new Congress that won’t be determined until January, the committee has opted to wait until spring to finalize the 2021 Legislative Agenda. The 2021 National Library Legislative Day has not been finalized, but the Legislative Agenda will be finalized and approved by the ACRL Board before that day, which is tentatively scheduled for early May 2021.
